Working at Heights Training

This Working at Heights training course, approved by the Chief Prevention Officer of Ontario’s Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training, and Skills Development, meets the required program and provider standards. It equips participants with essential skills for safely working at heights. Hands-on exercises include equipment setup, safe practices, and procedures as outlined in Ontario’s Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.

Course Details

  • Course Fee: $175 per participant
  • Location: In-house or onsite training at one of our training facilities in Toronto, Brampton, Mississauga, North York, Hamilton, Scarborough, or Markham
  • Certification: Same-day certification issued upon successful completion
  • Training for Groups: Minimum of 4 participants required for onsite training; call to schedule your preferred date.

Course Contents
Part One: Basic Theory

  • Overview of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations
  • Fall Hazard Recognition and Controls
  • Safe Use of Ladders and Related Equipment
  • Introduction to Personal Fall Protection Equipment

Part Two: Practical Equipment Training

  • Safety Harnesses, Lanyards, and Guardrails
  • Anchor Points and Proper Setup
  • Rescue Plans and First Aid for Fallen Workers

Course Duration: 8 Hours
Certification: Ontario Ministry of Labour-approved certificate provided upon completion.
Refresher Training: Required every 3 years to ensure compliance and safety.

Who Should Attend?
  • This training is mandatory for all workers operating at heights of three meters or more, including electricians, construction workers, plumbers, and other tradespeople. Employers are required to ensure all workers at heights have received this training.
