WHMIS Training Overview

The Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is Canada’s national standard for communicating workplace chemical hazards. Incorporating the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS), WHMIS ensures consistent identification and classification of hazardous materials. It provides essential information to employers and workers through:

  • Labels on hazardous material containers.
  • Safety Data Sheets (SDS) with detailed hazard and precautionary information.
  • Worker education programs.

Our WHMIS program, lasting 2 to 2.5 hours, is available at our training center or on-site for groups of 10 or more participants.
